• Mitch Golob, Artistic Director

Mitch Golob has been working as a theatre director in Chicago and across the country for nearly a decade.  He has directed InFusion's first two productions, the U.S. premiere of The Last Supper and the world premiere of Créole.  Some of other his directing projects include 8 By Tenn at Hartford Stage Company, the U.S. premiere of Jump to Cow Heaven at Profiles Theatre, And Then They Came for Me at Apple Tree Theatre, and Associate Director of the award winning World Premiere of Hannah & Martin at TimeLine Theatre.  He was also a member of Naked Eye Theatre Company, where directing projects included the Jeff Award winning production of Waving Goodbye in a co-production with Steppenwolf. 

He has also directed at Pegasus Players, Stage Left Theatre, Chicago Dramatists, and Thirsty Theater as well as assistant directed at Victory Gardens and the Bailiwick Repertory.  Mitch holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Drama from the University of Wisconsin. 

He has launched InFusion Theatre Company to bridge the gap between socially relevant and “consumer friendly” theatre.  The goal is to use its mixed-media focus to reach out to people who may think theatre is academic, high-brow, too expensive, or boring.  Our productions are targeted at the entire community, but concentrate on attracting Young Adults in their 20’s & 30’s, many of whom are infrequent theatre-goers.

  • Tara Malpass, Company Member

Tara Malpass, originally from South Carolina, graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  After college, she worked with Flat Rock Playhouse, Actors Theatre of Charlotte, and Boogaloo Broadcasting Company.  Chicago credits include Tent Meeting with Circle Theatre, Earl the Vampire with Thunder and Lightning Theatre Ensemble, The Last Supper with InFusion Theatre Company, PINS at Bailiwick Repertory Theatre,  Lease on Love with Diamante Productions, Improvisation with the Vampire with Free Associates, Elton John's Glasses with Appetite Theatre, and The Real Inspector Hound and After Magritte at Piccolo Theatre.

  • Bridgette O'Connor, Company Member

Bridgette O'Connor is a graduate from Butler University with a B.A. in Theatre and minor in Public Relations. After graduation, she completed internships with Oak Park Festival Theatre and Northlight Theatre. She has been Props Designer for The Last Supper at InFusion Theatre, Dead City at Dog and Pony Theatre and Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead at Piccolo Theatre. She has also acted as Production Manager for Backstage Theatre Company's productions of The Ruling Class and Zombies from the Beyond. Most recently, she directed Interpreting a Dream as part of the Bailiwick Director's Festival and was Assistant Director for InFusion's production of Créole.

  • James Gibson, Company Member

James has worked on all three of InFusion's productions in the prop design and stage management areas.  His recent productions have been Red Light Winter (Set Design), Fraternal Instinct (Stage Manager), and Earl the Vampire (Asst. Stage Manager).  James studied theatre a various institutions are around the South and worked as the Technical Director of Athens Creative Theatre before coming to Chicago.

  • Jamie Bragg, Company Member

Jame is a dramaturg, actor, and playwright who worked on InFusion's productions of Créole and Intrigue with Faye.  Previous dramaturgy credits in Chicago include Red Light Winter (Thunder and Lightning Theatre Ensemble) and Ion (Caffeine Theatre, Assistant Dramaturg).  Additionally, she held a literary internship at Actors Theatre of Louisville, home of the Humana Festival of New American Plays. As an actor, Jamie counts among her performance credits Susanna in A Murder of Crows (GroundUp Theatre), Chorus in Ion (Caffeine Theatre) and Katrina Van Tassel in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Rogue Theater).
